The COVID-19 pandemic is both a health crisis and a human rights crisis. In this dialogue, we will engage with speakers from three continents and explore a range of pandemic-related human rights challenges: What comes first: the fast-track economic resurgence or a slower sustainable one? How do we understand the right to health in terms of the pandemic? Should we balance the right to life and health with economic rights? Which limitations on our rights are we willing to accept to enforce stay-at-home rules? What has been the response to immigrants amid the pandemic? We hope you can join us!

Speakers:
Simone Borg, Law Professor, University of Malta
COVID or Climate? Do We have to Choose or Do we Choose to Learn?

Raphael Takougang, Attorney, Kenya
Defeating the COVID-19: At what cost?

Lori Chesser, Immigration Attorney and Advocate, US
